Enhancing collaboration and creativity with flexible seating solutions

The modern workplace is evolving rapidly, emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and employee well-being more than ever before. As businesses recognise the importance of these elements, office fit outs are becoming increasingly tailored to create environments that foster productivity and innovation. Flexible seating solutions are at the forefront of this transformation, offering versatile options that enhance collaboration and creativity. In this blog post, we will delve into the benefits of incorporating flexible seating solutions into your office fit out and why partnering with office fit out companies can make a significant difference in creating an inspiring workspace.

The Importance of Office Fit Outs

A well-designed office fit out can transform a dull, uninspiring workspace into a dynamic and vibrant environment. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, innovation, and well-being. Office fit outs are more than just a design upgrade; they are a strategic investment in a company’s success.

Versatile Seating for Collaborative Spaces

Collaboration is the cornerstone of innovation. Flexible seating solutions, such as boardroom chairs and meeting chairs, are designed to promote interaction and teamwork. These chairs are not only comfortable but also versatile, allowing for easy reconfiguration of meeting spaces to accommodate different group sizes and activities.

Boardroom Chairs

Boardroom chairs are the epitome of sophistication and comfort. Designed to impress, these chairs offer ergonomic support and luxurious finishes like leather upholstery. Whether you prefer a classic brown leather office chair or a contemporary white leather office chair, there’s a boardroom chair to suit every style and preference. They are designed to be functional yet stylish, with features like adjustable height and swivel capabilities. Whether you’re looking for a sleek black office chair or a playful pink office chair, meeting room chairs come in a variety of colours and designs to complement any decor.

Colour Psychology in Office Design

The colour scheme of an office can have a significant impact on employee mood and productivity. Whether you opt for a timeless tan leather office chair or a sleek white leather office chair, leather chairs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and easy to maintain. Their luxurious feel and classic appeal make them a popular choice among office fit out companies and interior designers alike. While neutral tones like grey and tan create a calming atmosphere, vibrant colours like pink can energize and inspire creativity. A leather office chair add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any workspace.

Flexible seating solutions are more than just a trend; they are a strategic investment in a company’s future. By incorporating versatile seating options like boardroom chairs, meeting chairs or ottomans into your office fit out, you can create a collaborative, creative, and adaptable workspace that inspires innovation and boosts productivity. Whether you’re revamping an existing office space or planning a complete office fitout, investing in quality seating is crucial. The right seating can make all the difference in creating a workspace that employees love and thrive in.

Unique Fitout Ideas for Big & Small Offices

Over the last decade of providing chairs to various fitout companies and interior designers, we have learned a lot about the different designs and styles in the fitout industry.

From small spaces such as reception areas and meeting rooms, to big spaces such as training rooms and full commercial office spaces, we’ve uncovered ideas and tips that may help you with your next commercial office fitout project.

Check out this list to help spark some inspiration for your next commercial/ office fitout design.

Idea #1: Begin with plotting office essentials

One of the first things that designers work on is the client’s office inclusions. In other words, what are the essential office “must-haves”? These essential items could be different for every office, so it is ideal to engage with the team during this part of the process.

From observation, we’ve noticed the following office essentials from our clients’ projects:

Marcus Oldham College required stackable chairs so that students can easily move them around.

Similar to this, Jason Real Estate needed a lightweight and stackable chair as well for their small meeting rooms so that associates can easily interact with each other.

Idea #2: Utilising natural light

We’ve heard this over and over, and this could probably be one of the most basic design ideas, but we still think that utilising natural light where possible is worth mentioning. By doing so, you get to create a clear, bright, and neat workplace and at the same time save on extra lighting and electricity. You get to save on space too since we get to avoid free standing lights.

A good example of this would be Central Steel Build’s office which was fitted out by Inscape Interiors. Both the reception area and training room area just looks bright and lights up the mood right away, creating an encouraging and productive atmosphere.

Idea #3: Incorporate brand colours

An office is a company’s structural representation safe haven. It’s where breakthrough ideas are made! What better way to inspire brand love than by incorporating your brand colours. We’ve seen how big corporations do it in a way that you can too.

Check out Mars Australia’s North Sydney office which was fitted out by Inscape Interiors. We’re all familiar with Mars’ brands and a caramel-coloured chair looks like very fitting.

Idea #4: Add fun & quirky elements

In today’s time, more and more companies are seeing the importance of an office culture that’s fun and playful. This is because a culture that cultivates this helps employees relax at work and boost their productivity and creativity. A fun space even promotes employee retention and brand love.

For inspiration, check out Clinics by Design’s latest fitout: the Speech Ease Pathology Centre. The whole space is just so inviting! We love the colours, fun shapes, and printed carpet.

Idea #5: Choosing sustainable furniture

We know that there are a thousand options available out there where you can get desks, chairs, and supplies for your project. But a good way to drill down your options would be your consideration for sustainable furniture. A way of doing this is investing in high quality chairs that can last for years. At Capisco, all of our chairs are guaranteed to last which is why we also offer a lifetime warranty. Instead of throwing a chair, if it can be maintained and repaired when needed, we’ll be here to help.

An eventful rainy trip to Sydney

Tariq’s first visit in Sydney as Capisco’s business development manager was one for the books, showing his resilient and positive attitude during the whole trip.

Bring on the rain

Tariq booked an evening flight from Melbourne to Sydney on Sunday the 21st of March where he arrived a few minutes before midnight. Unfortunately, to his surprise, that was at the same time when Sydney was having some days of its heaviest rainfall. It was raining so hard, and, with no umbrella on hand, he had to run under the cold rain (poor Tariq!!!).

Hotel turned into a cosy couch 😂

But wait, there’s more!

After running to his hotel a few blocks from where the closest car park was, no one was around to welcome and even let him in. The worst part was that he couldn’t even contact anyone who was working at the hotel. Tariq ended up staying over at a friend’s house — in a very comfy couch.

But on a brighter note, he’s still pretty lucky that someone picked up the phone and helped him out at one in the morning, or else, he’d be staying the night at the airport.

After a night of surprises, Tariq kept his head high and was very much looking forward to his appointments. Although some cancelled at the last minute, he was still very much optimistic and grateful for all the people he met on his first visit! He was also offered an early flight home at no additional cost which was a great way to end his short and, maybe, bittersweet journey.

Have a quick chat with Tariq either via zoom or in person! No commitments, just a brief catch up. Plus, coffee’s on him!

2021 colours of the year announced!

Pantone, best known for their colour matching system, releases several colours that they predict will be popular in the upcoming year – whether it be in the architecture, fit-out or apparel space.

Last year, pantone shade 19-4052, or simply called ‘Classic Blue’ was selected. This is a deep blue shade that was referred to as a comforting and relatable colour.

Curious to know what the colours for 2021 are? Pantone have selected both ‘Ultimate grey’ (a pale grey) and ‘Illuminating’ (a soft yellow tone).

The chosen colours work so well together as the bright yellow shades evoke feelings of optimism while the grey tones speak more of composure and resilience. Hence, reflect on the challenging year that was 2020 that we were all able to overcome.

If you’re thinking of incorporating these colours into your 2021 designs, we highly recommend our Italian Collection Chair with the shell 7502C which offers a subtle yellow or go for our upholstered Italian chairs that can be customised with soft grey fabric making for a comfortable and aesthetic breakout or boardroom chair.

The Italian chair can be made both with and without armrests and a range of different bases such as a swivel base, ensuring that it will suit any office fit-out requirements you may have.

As seen in the project photo below, the upholstered Italian Collection Chair is simple but combined with a pop of colour, looks very striking.

Moreover, our wing chair is a fun design, available in yellow and is ideal for kitchen, waiting or breakout style seating. Adding colour to breakout spaces through furniture can be an interesting way to create a work environment in which creativity and collaboration blossom.

We hope both the colors ‘illuminating’ and ‘ulitmate grey’ sparked some inspiration and design ideas in you. Because at Capisco, any design you may have can be achieved as we customise chair materials, colours and features.

We look forward to helping you make the most of the 2021 colours of the year. Happy yellow-grey New Year everyone!
